Interested in Joining or Working with Us?

The Nuclear Engineering Program and College of Engineering at the University of Utah have world class facilities and laboratories (including our TRIGA Research Nuclear Reactor), well connected and engaged faculty, and excellent educational and research opportunities. Our graduates have career prospects at top companies, in government service, and throughout the national laboratory system.

Being in Utah, we also boast amazing outdoor recreation including hiking, camping, golfing, fly fishing, 5 mighty national parks, and the Greatest Snow on Earth. The university sits just outside downtown Salt Lake City (10 min to downtown) with access to amenities like restaurants, shopping, the Eccles Theater, Temple Square, the Hogle Zoo, the Capital building, and the Utah Jazz. The TRAX system provides easy to use light rail transportation right onto campus and the SLC Airport is conveniently located only 15 minutes from downtown.

If you are interested in collaborating/working with us or applying to the Nuclear Engineering Program or joining the Cazalas Group, please feel free to email Dr. Edward Cazalas about your interest. Additionally, you can go to the Nuclear Engineering Program page to learn more. See our flyer to learn about Engineering at the University of Utah
